Booyah’s MyTown Unlocks Product Check-Ins [Video] On Friday, Booyah's MyTown unveiled a new software update that will let users check-in to physical, real world products. Booyah is not the first to come to market with the idea of checking into a product or activity--- other services like Miso and Hot Potato allow users to check into a wide array of "products" like television shows, movies, and online activities.
However, Booyah is one of the first LBS apps where you can use bar codes to check int... #TC #Featured #Booyah #Mytown Zobacz wpis

Twitter Nabs Google’s Lead Android Evangelist. Next Target: Students After a bit of a slow start, the Android app ecosystem is now growing at a rapid clip, as it nears 100,000 apps. One of the people Google can thank for that is Sun Hu Kim, their lead for Android developer marketing. But come Monday, he won't be pitching Android anymore, he'll be pitching Twitter.
Twitter has hired the longtime Google employee (he's been there just about 4 years) to be a part of Twitter's fast-growing platform te... #TC #Featured #Google #Twitter #Android Zobacz wpis

Firefox Just Perfected Tabbed Browsing. It’s Like Apple’s Expose Plus Spaces For The Web If you're anything like me, at any given time you have a dozen to two dozen tabs open across multiple web browser windows. It's great to have all these webpages open and ready to click on at any second, but it's a nightmare to try and remember where each is with so many open. I shudder to think how much time I waste on this each day. Luckily, Mozilla is working on a solution.
A new feature called Tab Candy is... #TC #Featured #Apple #Firefox #Mozilla Zobacz wpis

My Fantasy Foursquare Life I've had a very full schedule recently. Last Sunday I was in Amsterdam. On Monday I was "on a boat" off the coast of Texas and then zipped over to Dubai to check out the Ritz-Carlton hotel. By Wednesday I was in New York visiting the Foursquare offices. I spent the rest of the week in Waikiki, at NASA, in Monaco and, finally, at Pixar's studios in California. I really did visit all of these places - I can prove it because I checked in via Foursquare.
Ok, I didn't really... #TC #Featured #Foursquare Zobacz wpis

TechCrunch TV: Speaking Of… Detroit, Featuring Scott and Jay Adelson Guest post by Cyan Banister...
I've met a lot of engineers and entrepreneurs from Detroit and there's an underlying vibe that resonates from all of them: a specific attitude or work ethic - possibly left over from the automotive industry - that either causes them to try to work harder than their fathers or go against the grain trying to figure out how they can live life to its fullest.
As Jay Adelson takes his first break from w... #TC #Featured Zobacz wpis

Cavs Owner Goes Online To Rip LeBron A New One… In Comic Sans The national distraction is over. NBA star LeBron James has chosen the team he's going to play for: the Miami Heat. Of course, this means that he won't be returning to his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers and owner Dan Gilbert is not too happy about that. And he made that very clear to everyone tonight in a scathing letter posted to the Cavs main page on NBA.com.
A letter, posted in Comic Sans.
Yes, Gilbert wrote the entire letter in proba... #TC #Featured Zobacz wpis

What Jeff Clavier Is Buying And How He Lost Foursquare Prolific investor Jeff Clavier has 81 deals to date, with several successful exits in his pocket--- including Mint, Truveo and most recently Disney's acquisition of Tapulous. As the founder of SoftTech VC, he is technically a micro VC, but he prefers the far sexier title of "Super Angel."
We talked to Clavier on Wednesday on TechCrunch TV, for his take on the pulse of seed stage funding and the sectors he's zeroing in on. Calling it a "seller... #TC #Featured #Foursquare #JeffClavier #Softtechvc Zobacz wpis

Trent Reznor To Score Facebook Movie. “It’s Really F*cking Good. And Dark!” I've never been quite sure what to make of the upcoming Facebook movie, The Social Network. On one hand, the talent behind the camera is pretty amazing. The screenplay was written by Aaron Sorkin (of West Wing, and A Few Good Men fame). And it's being directed by David Fincher (of Fight Club and Seven fame). On the other hand, it's a movie about Facebook. And the trailer is a bit cheesy. But some news today may have put m... #TC #Featured #Facebook Zobacz wpis

The amount raised is nearly four times as much as the same, admittedly moribund, period a year ago, when there were only 3 IPOs and $232 million in exits.
