girls' night out and the sky over Montenegro (part 8)
and there it was - some real vacation for us. we slept till noon and spent the rest od the day on the beach outside of Budva. in the evening Vuk went to see a football match with his friends and Anna, Ivana and I had a little of a girls night out. we went to some fancy bar and had Cosmopolitans and other crazy expensive girlish drinks.
after that we all met in Hacjenda Club. there was a Cuban music concert that night. we started with a few shots of rakija and the next thing I remember was dancing salsa with a black man. I must admit that guy was a great dancer, so I didnt mind he was twice my age and I didnt even know his name.
on the next day we overslept. we were supposed to go to Kotor in the morning, cos Vuk had something to be done there, and then furter in the direction of Podgorica. but it was noon when we woke up and so we started our journey around 2 pm. after visiting Kotor, Vuk and Ivana t...

rakija, cheap ciggs and some real vacation in Montenegro (part 7)
sleeping in the shop has one real disadvantage - you dont have any shower included. but fortunately Dubravkos shop was placed close to the beach and he told us there are some showers near by. as I discovered later - none of them was working. anyway, there was still some water in the sea, and so my hair were salty for the next week& but who cares.
Anna adopt two cactuses and we spent some time having fun in the purest water of Adriatic sea, but we eventually had to get back to Magistrala and continue our journey. when we got to the centre, we had no more Croatian money (kn). but the bus driver was so nice to take us to Magistrala for free. at 1 pm we were sitting on the wrong side of the road naming Annas cactuses (Wilhelm and Enrique) in the burning sun.
after changing sides and an hour of waiting a young guy in a nice car stopped. he told us in the beginning that he was only going to the ...

Polish bus and Croatian floor (part 6)
when we got up the next morning we still were in pretty bad situation, cos even if a car had stopped on our station, it wasnt going anywhere near Dubrovnik. people were cheering up for us but it was changing nothing at all. even two police officers wished us luck (later somebody told me that its forbidden to hitchhike in Croatia&).
and then I saw a bus. soon I realized it was full of Polish people, so I asked them if they were going to Dubrovnik and could take us with them. they talked to their giude, she talked to the bus driver and he came to us to tell us that we can go, but for 100 kn each. I said we dont have that much money with us, but I can use the ATM in Dubrovnik and pay then.
we left the gas station at 8 am, comfortably sitting in a bus full of Poles. in addition we had a Polish guide who was telling us about what we could see from the window. among other attractions I noted the Mljet Island, which is b...

how to sleep in a tent on a gas station? (part 5)
we got to Split at 10:20 pm. I checked the time lighting a cigarette, after we discovered that we are on Vukovarska street, but not quite in the place we should be. I texted our host and after a while he promised his friends were coming for us by car. so we waited.
when they finally found us, they took us straight to Adhams place and it didnt seem very far. we had a proposition to join all of them for the party in some place near Split, but we were damn tired, so the only thing we dreamt of was getting some sleep in a real bed (or couch). Adham told us to leave the key under the doormat, when wed be leaving Split the next day and he left the apartment totally to us. I took the first shower since Wednesday morning (it was Friday) and fell asleep a few minutes after 11 pm.
the next morning we left around 9:30 to sightsee the city. then we went back to give back the key to Adham, who came back earlier than he...
